LifeSET is a Cell equipping strategy.

The scriptural foundation to lead members in Cells towards maturity is based on 1 John 2:12-14. In order to be an effective community there should be:

•  “Children” – new believers
•  “Young Men” – those who have overcome the evil one by their knowledge of the Word of God and are no longer easily tricked by the lies and accusations of Satan and
•  “Fathers” – those who truly know God, and function knowing whatever is bound in heaven can be bound on earth. In a Cell these are the Cell Leaders and Apprentices.
  

There are Seven underlining principles of Lifespring’s Equipping Track (LifeSET)

1.  Keep the training track simple:
   4 main areas:
   LifeSET 1: Beginning the journey
   LifeSET 2: Inner-life and Personal Development
   LifeSET 3: Personal Evangelism
   LifeSET 4: School of Leadership

2. Provide action steps with each track.
   LifeSET 1 – Includes action step of water baptism and breaking of bondages and strongholds.
   LifeSET 2 - Includes action step of demonstrating Christian disciplines and getting involved in ministry.
   LifeSET 3 - Includes action step of witnessing and inviting non-Christians through the ministry of Share Groups.
   LifeSET 4 – Apprenticeship in a Cell.
3.  Prepare a second level of training for Cell Leaders (ongoing training and development).
4.  Use Lifespring’s Equipping Track (LifeSET 1-4)
5.  There is no one methodology for implementing training.
   Use a variety of training: Group Discipleship (Cells and Share Groups), One-to-one Discipleship, Workshops, Camps and Retreats, Classroom setting …
6. Train everyone to become Leaders.
7.  Continually adjust and improve the training track done by Cell Pastor in conjunction with Senior Pastor and CVE (Teaching and Discipling).
